Global Anti-Semitism Law

US President George W. Bush said he had signed into law a bill requiring the State Department to monitor global anti-Semitism and rate countries annually on their treatment of Jews.

“This nation will keep watch; we will make sure that the ancient impulse of anti-Semitism never finds a home in the modern world,” Bush said.

Of course, no one cares about Muslims and the ever growing Anti-Islamism in the world!

In fact, it’s the opposite, countries that treat Muslims well could end up being blacklisted for it.

The loss of Muslim lives matters, too

… Beslan, endless kidnappings in Iraq and the barbaric decapitation of aid workers and other civilians have forced Muslim leaders into a new activism.

In France, since the kidnapping of two journalists in Iraq, Muslims of influence have pushed their people to embrace French nationhood even though there are serious conflicts between them and their state….
The Muslim Association of Britain has issued straight statements condemning the inhumane hostage-taking by Muslims worldwide.

But only if there is reciprocity. Muslims have put their lives and reputations on the line to save Mr Bigley and others. The allies hold thousands of Muslims in illegal incarceration; they are tortured and killed too….

Where are the “official” Christian delegations to protect Muslim victims in Afghanistan, Iraq, Guantanamo Bay? Why do our baying newspapers not call for these faith communities to condemn the savagery perpetrated by the allies?..

U.S. wrongly rejects Muslim scholars

Evidently, even those who seek peace and condemn terror are not fit to enter the United States.

“How can America encourage the voices of moderation and tolerance and pluralism within the Muslim world when, because of fearful ignorance, we insult and exclude them ?..”
Diana Eck, director of the Harvard University Pluralism Project

The rejection of prominent Muslim scholar Tariq Ramadan and peace activist Yusuf Islam (a.k.a Cat Stevens) from entering the country has only furthered the view that the Bush administration

Cat Stevens Not Allowed into US

The British singer Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, is due to be sent back to London after being refused entry to the United States yesterday.

The US authorities say the decision was made on national security grounds.

Mr Islam was on a flight from London to Washington when officials realised his name was on a “watch list”. The plane was diverted to another US airport.

Muslim groups in Britain and the United States have criticised the decision, saying Mr Islam is a man of peace.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations said in a statement that the move “sends the disturbing message that even moderate and mainstream Muslims will now be treated like terrorists”.

Now this is real bullshit…
This guy has been singing and working for peace for ages even before he became a muslim, and he hasn’t missed a chance without condemning terrorism, and now he’s on a terrorist watch list?
What the hell are these people thinking?!

Kerry’s “Top 10 Bush Tax Proposals”

So John Kerry appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday and joked (believe it or not!) about changes under President Bush’s tax plan.

His list went like this:

  1. No estate tax for families with at least two U.S. presidents.
  2. W-2 Form is now Dubya-2 Form.
  3. Under the simplified tax code, your refund check goes directly to Halliburton.
  4. The reduced earned income tax credit is so unfair, it just makes me want to tear out my lustrous, finely groomed hair.
  5. Attorney General (John) Ashcroft gets to write off the entire U.S. Constitution.
  6. Texas Rangers can take a business loss for trading Sammy Sosa.
  7. Eliminate all income taxes; just ask Teresa (Heinz Kerry) to cover the whole damn thing.
  8. Cheney can claim Bush as a dependent.
  9. Hundred-dollar penalty if you pronounce it “nuclear” instead of “nucular.”
  10. George W. Bush gets a deduction for mortgaging our entire future.

I’m betting someone wrote that for him ๐Ÿ˜›

Israeli Spy in Pentagon

The FBI has evidence that Larry Franklin, a person who has been working at the Pentagon may be a spy for Israel, senior U.S. officials have confirmed to CNN.

The worker could have been in a position to influence Bush administration policy toward Iran and Iraq, one of the officials said on Friday.

CBS News, which first reported the story, said the FBI had developed evidence, including photographs and conversations recorded through wiretaps.

The network said the alleged spy has ties to two senior Pentagon officials: Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz and Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith.

The Washington Post and the New York Times both quoted unnamed officials as saying the analyst was suspected of passing classified documents to Israel via the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the powerful pro-Israel lobby in Washington.

This would not be the first case involving an Israeli spy in the US. In 1986, a navy analyst, Jonathan Pollard, was jailed after he was found guilty of spying for Israel.

Pollard is believed to have provided Israeli intelligence with names of important American agents inside the former Soviet Union and Russia.

A number of key CIA agents in the eastern bloc were allegedly executed as a result of Pollard’s spying.

Dimona: The Threat

Dimona, the Israeli nuclear reactor located in the Negev desert is a terror haunting Jordan and Israel’s other neighbouring countries.

The Israelis are aware of the possibility of a meltdown in the Dimona reactor. A meltdown that would affect an area reaching Cyprus and the entire neighboring region. Studies have shown that radioactive substances are leaking from the Dimona reactor, perhaps explaining why rates of cancer have increased among nearby populations, like Tafila City in South Jordan.

What make these concerns pressing are satellite images of the Dimona reactor, which show that its walls have cracks which will cut its age by half.
By continuing to maintain and operate Dimona reactor, Israel is committing a crime against humanity that will be added to the atrocities it perpetrated along its history.

In fact, Israel is least threatened by Dimona, having its population living in the north far from the reactor. 95% of the wind direction in Palestine is northwesterly, away from the Israeli localities, but towards Jordan and Palestine.

As for the waste products resulting from nuclear enrichment operations in Dimona reactor, it’s buried in areas near the Palestinian Authority controlled territories, as well as Jordanian and Egyptian ones, especially in those areas where the flow of aquifer water and direction of the wind is not in Israel’s favor.

Mordechai Vanunu, the Israeli nuclear scientist and whistle-blower, said in an interview last week in the London-based Al Wassat weekly magazine that Jordan should test residents in areas across the border from Dimona to be sure they have not already been exposed to radiation.

The Israeli nuclear scientist told the magazine, which is published by Al Hayat newspaper, that Dimona’s “chimneys do not operate unless wind blows in the direction of Jordan.”

Jordan, he said, must distribute anti-radiation pills to its citizens, like Israel promised to do for residents living near its two nuclear reactors in Dimona and Arad.

Anyway, the Jordanian government says that “The kingdom is free of radiation”, although numbers continue to show a high incidence of cancer especially in the southern areas close to Israel.

Numbers show that for every 100,000 people in Jordan, there are 126 males and 117 females afflicted with cancer.

It seems human life doesn’t mean much anymore these days.

Israeli exports to Arab states up by 68%

Israeli exports to Arab states reached $85 million in the first half of 2004 , up 68%, compared with the corresponding period last year, official Israeli data indicated.

Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute said the growth in exports to Arab countries was due mostly to increased exports to Jordan and Egypt and of course the opening of the Iraqi market.

The figures did not include $6 million in indirect exports to Arab countries through third parties, as part of joint projects between Israeli and Arab companies.

Shame on you Arabs, shame on you!
