We’re in Jordan

So, what do you know?
All of a sudden, we’re in Jordan.
We just flew over here last night.

Eman’s whole family are here this time, and it’s been great seeing and being with all of them again ๐Ÿ™‚ We really missed them.

We’ll be here for three weeks of relaxation and fun.

I personally truly needed some time off from my everyday life, work and all the stress that comes with both of them. I’m sure Eman needs this break even more than I do.

I’ve got a long to-do list as usual with some things carried over from last year, but something I really wish I get to do is to meet all our Jordanian blogger friends. That’d be cool.

This time, we’ll be spending all of the 3 weeks in Jordan, mostly in Amman, but we might try to visit some other places outside the capital too.

Finally, it’s good to be back in Amman. It’s always a delight.
It’s a very beautiful city in it’s own special way.

Crazy Clutter

I always thought my old bachelor appartment was the most unorganized place on earth. I had my clothes thrown all over the sofas. The tables had pyramids of empty takeaway boxes, soda cans, chips bags and what not. My shoes were scattered all around the place. The dishes were piled for ages in the sink.
In short, my place was certified as the most unorganized place by all my friends.

Even nowadays my wife goes mad at how I just leave my stuff lying around all over our appartment.

To me, organization is about putting your stuff where it’s the easiest for you to put them when you’re done with them ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway, now after seeing these pictures, I think I’ve truly been outdone, lol.
This is just crazy.

Happy Birthday Eman

Today is May 6th…
On a day like today, 27 years ago, my wonderful wife was born ๐Ÿ™‚
That makes it a very special day for me. In fact, I actually love this day even more than my own birthday.

Happy Birthday Eman ๐Ÿ™‚
I wish all you ever dreamt of and more will come true…

You lit up my life from the moment I met you.
I love you so much and hope God will help me in making you the happiest woman ever…

I Hate Summer

Man, do I hate summer!!
Even though I love the sea more than the fish do, and can’t wait for the chance to go swimming, I just despise summer.

I’m certainly more of a winter person.
At least in winter, when you get cold, you just keep piling on the warm clothes and blankets. In summer, you keep taking off everything until you’re naked and there’s nothing left to take off, but still you’re dying from the heat.

This summer looks like it’ll be a damn hot one in Tunisia. I’m already suffering.
Shifted to my urgent todo list is buying an air conditioner for the living room, we can’t spend another summer stuck in the ac cooled bedroom ๐Ÿ˜›

What Does My Birth Date Mean?

I just came across this little thingie that tells you what your birth date means. I tried it out for my birthday, March 11th, and this is what I got:

Your birth on the 11th day of the month makes you something of a dreamer and an idealist.
You work well with people because you know how to use persuasion rather than force.
There is a strong spiritual side to your nature, and you may have intuitive qualities inherent in your make up, too.

You are very aware and sensitive, though often temperamental.
Although you have a good mind and you are very analytical, you may not be comfortable in the business world.
You are definitely creative and this influence tends to make you more of a dreamer than a doer.

It’s weird, but a lot of what they said is right.
I don’t know, I don’t really believe in horoscopes and stuff like this, but well it amazes me how sometimes they’re really close to reality.

Anyway, try it out yourself. What Does Your Birth Date Mean?.

My 10 Favourite Dishes

If I were to choose my top 10 dishes, the list would certainly look something like this.
I’m feeling hungry just thinking of them.

1. Mloukhia: I worship Tunisian Mloukhia. It’s truly out of this world. It has nothing to do with the way mloukhia is made in other Arab countries. It’s a lot more delicious.

2. Couscous: Our Tunisian national dish, which I love more everytime I eat it. Whether it’s with Meat, chicken or fish it just rocks.

3. Nwaser: Another Tunisian delicacy that I love. Yummy perfection.

4. Hummus and Falafel: Man, I love hummus and falafel, especially hummus. I could have some every single day.

5. Fried rice with crab + shrimps in sweet and sour sauce: I had so much of this when I was in Thailand. It’s so damn good.

6. Pizza: Thick or thin, stuffed crust or not, from the marguerita to the super supreme, I love pizza. It’s always a fave.

7. Msakhan: A Palestinian dish based on chicken that is really yummy.

8. Fatteh: Another delicious middle eastern dish. The best fatteh I’ve ever tasted as yet is in Beit Jabri in Damascus / Syria.

9. Mansaf: The Jordanian national dish. I really enjoy having a good mansaf every now and then. It’s a bit heavy but really good.

10. Chicken Stroganoff: An originally Russian dish that is simply finger-licking delicious.

God bless delicious food…

My Tunisia Photos On Wandalust

Wandalust, the First Class UK Travel blog has featured my Tunisia photoset in an entry about Tunisian Travel Imagery.

This is what they say:

Tunisian blogger Subzero Blue has a really wonderful photoset on Flickr. There are more than 75 photos taken over the last six months. It’s an insider’s view of a magical country: souks, medinas, landscapes, foods and buildings that make up everyday life in a world of intense colour and contrast. This gorgeous gate photo is among my favourites.

Wow ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m very happy my pictures are promoting Tunisia and giving its beautiful places the exposure they deserve.

Photography is a great passion of mine, and it’s so cool that the photos I love to take are being shared with people from all over the world.
