Seed of Chucky

Yesterday we watched “Seed of Chucky“, the fifth movie in the Child’s Play series.

This movie is set five years after Bride of Chucky and shows how the child of Chucky and Tiffany, who is being used as a sideshow freak called ‘shitface’, finds out who his parents are and goes to hollywood to meet them.
Then…, oh who gives a damn, it’s a shitty stupid story after all!!!

This movie is not worth a second of your time. Sitting around looking blankly at a wall is a better use of time than watching this!

I can’t believe someone was dumb enough to think this piece of shit was worth investing any money into making a movie out of it.

It’s not scary, it’s not funny, the story is stupid, the acting is lame, and the list goes on. In fact, other than the word ‘shitface’, there’s nothing else that amused me in this movie.

My score for it is: 0/10.

Star Wars Rewatched

These past days I’ve been renting the Star Wars DVDs to see all of them again. I’ve been wanting to do that ever since I saw “Revenge Of The Sith” in Jordan, and I’m glad I did.

It was great seeing the whole series again, now that it’s over. I saw the old movies a long time ago in my childhood and my memory was starting to fail me on a lot of details. It was so cool seeing them again, rediscovering them and seeing all the pieces falling into place again.

What amazes me the most in the old movies is how great the quality of the animation is, even though it was done a long time ago in the 70s and early 80s.
The feeling of continuity between the new movies and the older ones is fascinating too.

After seeing all the movies, I think my favourites now are “Return of the Jedi” and “Revenge of the Sith”. I guess it’s because of the action, excitement, suspense in them.

Bravo to George Lucas for this masterpiece.
He truly made cinematic history with these movies.

What’s in a flag?

Icaro Doria, a Brazilian 25 year old artist, along with some of his colleagues in the Grande Reportagem magazine in Lisbon, Portugal, have come up with a really cool idea to put new meanings to the colours of flags.

They started to research relevant, global, and current facts and used real data taken from the websites of Amnesty International and the UNO to create Meet The World campaign.

I think it’s a really creative and cool idea. Do check out the other flags.

Bookworm

Roba tagged me with this book meme. So here goes:

Number of books I own:
I have no idea. I’ve been reading books ever since I was a kid, so how many I have in my collection or how many I have read is just beyond me.

Last book I bought:
“The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown.

Last book I read:
“Eats, Shoots & Leaves” by Lynne Truss, and I’m currently reading “The Hobbit” by J.R.R Tolkien.

Five books that mean a lot to me:
Every book is special in its own way, so I’ll be picking five random books that I really enjoyed reading.

1. Life of Pi (Yann Martel)
2. 1984 (George Orwell)
3. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)
4. Great Expectations (Charles Dickens)
5. Eastern Standard Tribe (Cory Doctorow)

The book I am reading since long but could not finish:
It was “Atonement” by Ian McEwan, but I got to finish it during my last visit to Jordan. And it was really good.

Five people I tag with the bookworm:
Zied, Adib, Houssein, Jordan, Ahmed.
