What a juicy plumb of a job! ๐
Of course, if you consider that at the height of dotcom boom here in the U.S. contractors could earn about 130-150k doing such exotic stuff as Oracle or SAP programming the pay isn’t that great, considering the risk of become either a corpse or a vegetable. Plus, we don’t have National Health and most medical insurance policies typically exclude injuries caused by acts of war, insurrection or usurpation of power–all three of which surely fit Iraq. Life insurance may also be somewhat hard to obtain.
Lastly, Ft. Benning is an infantry training center–one wonders what the hapless contractor would be learning there.
Thanks for the offer, Iraq noway
