Coach Carter
Yesterday we watched Coach Carter starring Samuel L. Jackson. The movie is a true story about controversial high school basketball coach Ken Carter who benched his undefeated team due to their collective poor academic record in 1999.
This was a really nice movie, well done, well acted and well directed.
But what I like most in this movie is it’s positive message that lives can be changed for the better through sorting priorities, self discipline, hard work and the building of character.
Being a true story adds to the beauty of it all.
I can only admire this coach for what he did and how he changed the lives of his team.
I really wish there were more people like him in our world, who really have their priorities straight and who want to make a change.
Samuel L. Jackson did a really good job in this role, proving yet again what a great actor he is.
My score for this movie is: 7/10.
Seed of Chucky
Yesterday we watched “Seed of Chucky“, the fifth movie in the Child’s Play series.
This movie is set five years after Bride of Chucky and shows how the child of Chucky and Tiffany, who is being used as a sideshow freak called ‘shitface’, finds out who his parents are and goes to hollywood to meet them.
Then…, oh who gives a damn, it’s a shitty stupid story after all!!!
This movie is not worth a second of your time. Sitting around looking blankly at a wall is a better use of time than watching this!
I can’t believe someone was dumb enough to think this piece of shit was worth investing any money into making a movie out of it.
It’s not scary, it’s not funny, the story is stupid, the acting is lame, and the list goes on. In fact, other than the word ‘shitface’, there’s nothing else that amused me in this movie.
My score for it is: 0/10.

Star Wars Rewatched
These past days I’ve been renting the Star Wars DVDs to see all of them again. I’ve been wanting to do that ever since I saw “Revenge Of The Sith” in Jordan, and I’m glad I did.
It was great seeing the whole series again, now that it’s over. I saw the old movies a long time ago in my childhood and my memory was starting to fail me on a lot of details. It was so cool seeing them again, rediscovering them and seeing all the pieces falling into place again.
What amazes me the most in the old movies is how great the quality of the animation is, even though it was done a long time ago in the 70s and early 80s.
The feeling of continuity between the new movies and the older ones is fascinating too.
After seeing all the movies, I think my favourites now are “Return of the Jedi” and “Revenge of the Sith”. I guess it’s because of the action, excitement, suspense in them.
Bravo to George Lucas for this masterpiece.
He truly made cinematic history with these movies.
