Yesterday we watched Coach Carter starring Samuel L. Jackson. The movie is a true story about controversial high school basketball coach Ken Carter who benched his undefeated team due to their collective poor academic record in 1999.
This was a really nice movie, well done, well acted and well directed.
But what I like most in this movie is it’s positive message that lives can be changed for the better through sorting priorities, self discipline, hard work and the building of character.
Being a true story adds to the beauty of it all.
I can only admire this coach for what he did and how he changed the lives of his team.
I really wish there were more people like him in our world, who really have their priorities straight and who want to make a change.
Samuel L. Jackson did a really good job in this role, proving yet again what a great actor he is.
My score for this movie is: 7/10.
