Blog Re-design

So, what do you know, in a month from now, this blog will be 1 year old.
Time flies by so quickly when you’re doing something you enjoy.

And well, for that occasion, I’m thinking of launching a new design for the blog.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while and have occasionally played around with some concepts in my free time, but I still don’t have anything ready yet.

I’m currently influenced by a number of other cool blog designs, even though I think what I will eventually do won’t look like any of them 😛

Anyway, as readers of the blog, I would appreciate any feedback you have on the current design, what you find most interesting, what direction you think I should take the blog, the colours, the ideas and any other types of suggestions.

My main goal is to make the blog look cooler and nicer, make it more usable, give it more life and make it more comfy for myself and you readers.

  1. 1 year! WOW ! 🙂 I’m not that talented in designing, but I know you’ll come up with a great design, you’re so creative and I trust your taste. This blog has been so successful in terms of design and posts offered. Your blog is user-friendly and cool. I’d suggest having your picture on your blog, it’ll look greater that way 🙂 Good luck re-designing, can’t wait to see the new Subzero Blue.com :)))

  3. I think the actual design is great. The important in a blog is the content not the design, and the content is great so don’t worry about the design.
    But if you want to re-design it, just keep it simple.

  4. Pfft! No one’s giving you any REAL advice on how to re-design your blog. Here, let me help.

    1. More color: Perhaps a splash of neon pink in the background will liven things up. It would look just FABULOUS!

    2. More .gif’s throughout the page: I suggest the one with a beating heart or a cute little bunny hopping across your page.

    3. Background music: Be sure to not give viewers the option of stopping the song, and don’t forget to make it repeat infinitely. My personal favorite is “Toxic” by Britney Spears.

    4. Oh Oh! And a cool pop-up window when you first enter your site that says something like, “Yo Yo! Thanks fo’ hittin’ up my site, Dawg! Don’t forget to comment and tell me what’s up before you leave. You down with it?!” Oh man… That would be sooooo cool.

    I’ll let you know if I come up with other brilliant ideas. But for now, I think I’ve given you enough ideas to work with. Good Luck! 😛

    I must say that your blog is very nice and user-friendly. Good work.

    If you really want a comment, I have two..

    1. Since summer is almost there, we might be needing more ice on the site, to cool us off more! 🙂

    2. The top left corner is a very important space that can be used in a better way, since you no longer update your photoblog, you can put something more dynamic and useful.

    I would suggest a link to each headline in the page under it’s original title or its category.

    OR, the links would be to the blogs with comments.
    If that is not applicable, maybe you can have the latest blogs and showing the number of messages to each blog.
    If anyone comments on any blog, it would then show in the list.

    OR, you can make something like a subzero blog charts, showing the blogs with the most messages.

    Am I making any sense?
